HEMOSPONGE® Tampon is a cylindrical-shaped haemostatic sponge with a hollow centre, specially designed for haemorrhoidal and coloproctological surgeries. It can be easily placed using a proctoscope at the end of surgery to control mild to moderate bleeding. The sponge absorbs continuously oozing fluids and provides prolonged haemostasis while supporting nearby tissues and reducing irritation.
It gradually dissolves and is naturally expelled with bowel movements, typically within 1–2 days, offering a cost-effective and patient-friendly haemostatic packing solution.
